Compacon opens office in France
Barendrecht, the Netherlands, 17 November 2017 - Earlier this year, distribution company Compacon was taken over by Plato Group, which also includes Clipper Gifts and IGO. With this move, the international ambition to roll out Compacon’s activities on a larger scale within Europe was realised. With the opening of a location in France, the first step on the international market has been taken.
“Our start in France coincides with the awarding of a tender drawn up by the French organisation Saint-Gobain, which deals in e.g. construction materials,” Ton Löbker (Compacon) explains. “They viewed our services as distinctive, so we were able to get off to a quick start. The new Compacon location is the result of our strategy of having a presence in countries throughout Europe in the form of offices staffed by local people. This results in excellent ties to the local market and culture."
Compacon currently has a three-person account team in France, while matters pertaining to the web shop, purchasing and creativity are handled centrally.
Ambition
“With Clipper and IGO, Plato has an international network that we can use to establish our own Compacon offices. This fits well within our ambition to grow and put Compacon on the international map. It also ties into the growing internationalisation of our market and the clients who use our services,” Löbker continues.
In 2018, Compacon will open more locations in prominent European countries. For example, the organisation will begin its activities in Germany, Belgium and Denmark in early 2018.
